Construction Coordinator (Temp to Perm)

We are seeking an Construction Coordinator who wants to work in a fast-paced environment. 

This role has been explicitly designed to potentially grow into the Office Manager role within 8-12 months of starting, dependent entirely on performance and ability to take on increased responsibilities.

Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour to start (Evaluation for increase after 8-12 months)
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
 

Responsibilities:

As a construction coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the current Office Manager with the construction administration process managing vendor relationships, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction, process compliance, and overall workflow efficiency.

  • Permitting & Compliance: Coordinate, prepare, and track permitting documentation for multiple construction projects, ensuring all timelines are met.

  • Record Management: Maintain organized digital and physical records of project updates, vendor details, and critical compliance documents.

  • Software Management: Manage essential office activities using QuickBooks (as applicable) and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook are heavily used).

  • Liaison: Serve as a liaison between field crews, vendors, and internal office operations.

  • Communication: Answer incoming calls and emails. 

  • General Support: Perform essential general administrative duties. 

 

Skills:

 
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks.

  • Prior experience in the Construction industry or a similar field (e.g., specialized trades, permitting).

  • Familiarity with construction project documentation or permitting processes.

  • Demonstrated experience working with external vendors.

  • Comfortable with adapting quickly to evolving processes and systems.

 

Education:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

 

Experience:

4-7 years

 

Qualifications:

  • Office Experience: Minimum 4-6 years' office experience in a professional environment.

  • Organization: Organizational and time management abilities.

  • Communication: Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Process Acumen: Ability to follow instructions and learn existing processes.

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
