PAINT PREP & SHIPPING – Brooksville
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform various tasks related to the preparation, painting, packing, and shipping of units in accordance with our client standards. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting prints for correct paint type and color, mixing and applying paint, and preparing units for shipment. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret prints to verify paint specifications and packaging requirements.
- Mix and apply paint using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Buff and clean units, including blowing out water and removing oxidation.
- Assemble boxes and inserts, pack units, and create accurate shipping labels.
- Palletize and secure shipments according to procedures.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload trucks.
- Verify accuracy of all shipping and export documentation.
- Apply date codes and straighten fittings as needed.
ABLE TO BE TRAINED / CERTIFIED ON:
- Computer usage, including ERP and UPS programs.
- Shipping standard procedures.
- Painting standard procedures.
- Operation of paint sprayer and paint booth.
- Forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Use of blow gun and foam machine.
- Operation of scales.
- Date coding procedures.
Qualifications:
- Basic painting skills preferred
- Must understand English
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Good hand-eye coordination
