TheBus Announces Important Updates to Route System and Stop Locations

(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County Transit, TheBus, is making key updates to its route system effective Monday, September 8th, 2025. These changes include new stop locations at Walmart Brooksville and Walmart Highway 50. The times for these routes will remain the same.

New Stop Locations Effective September 8th:

Walmart Brooksville: The bus stop will move to the southwest end of the parking lot, near the retention pond. This change will affect the following routes:

• Route 3 (Purple)
• Route 4 (Green)
• Route 5 (Ridge Manor)
• Route 6 (Brooksville Circulator)

Walmart Highway 50: The stop will be relocated to the east end of the parking lot, near the garden center.

• Route 2 (Blue)
• Route 3 (Purple)
