SBA Announces Closure of Business Recovery Centers in Florida

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today the permanent closure of
the Business Recovery Centers (BRCs) in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties on Wednesday, Nov. 29,
due to a steady decrease in center activity. Business Recovery Centers serve as a beacon of hope and
support for businesses, providing invaluable resources, guidance, and expertise during challenging
times. The application deadline for physical disaster loans is Nov. 29.
At the Business Recovery Centers, SBA’s Customer Service Representatives can assist SBA applicants
complete their disaster loan application, accept documents for existing applications, and provide
status on loan applications. The Centers will operate as indicated below until Nov. 29, at 5 p.m.

Applicants may apply online via SBA’s secure website at sba.gov/disaster.
To obtain disaster loan information and application forms call the SBA’s Customer Service Center at
800-659-2955 (if you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access
telecommunications relay services) or send an email to DisasterCustomerService@sba.gov.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Nov. 29, 2023. The deadline
to return economic injury applications is May 31, 2024.
