Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk
TODAY February 1 from 10 AM - 2 PM & the first Saturday of every month!
Featured Artist : Johan Casadiego Meet Johan Casadiego! Johan is an award-winning artist here in Hernando County, who creates everything from murals to exotic paintings - each with hidden thoughts buried throughout the painting. You can look at his work 100 times and always find something new! Johan is extremely active in the local arts community, participating in many public art programs including the Mermaid Tale Trail, Mobile Mural Program, Art on Fire Program, and Hernando Beach Front Porch Art Walk!

Booksville Festival Thank you to the Brooksville Woman’s Club for inviting us to Booksville Festival! Arts Council members Roxanne and Diane became “Celebrity Readers” for the day, as well as BOTH our County and City Arts liaisons, Councilman Hallal and Commissioner Amsler (pictured reading his favorite children’s book). Congrats to the Woman’s Club on an enormously successful event and introducing many new authors to the Hernando County arts scene!
New Mural Unveiled through Community Arts Grant program! A new memorial mural was unveiled to honor the life and legacy of Joseph Maner, Past-Exalted Ruler of Frederick Kelly Elks Lodge #1270. The mural was painted by local artist, Lakeema Matthew, who has done several local murals of historic community leaders. The Arts Council is proud to sponsor this mural through our Community Arts Grant program!
