Cypress Lakes Preserve improvements scheduled
(Brooksville, FL) The Hernando County Environmentally Sensitive Lands Program, in cooperation with the Department of Public Works, have scheduled a property improvement project at Cypress Lakes Preserve, located at 33241 Ridge Manor Boulevard, to begin the week of February 15, 2021. This project will include the addition of a 6,600 square foot lime rock-base parking area, located at the intersection of Ridge Manor Boulevard and Olancha Road. The new parking area will provide safe trailhead access by relocating the current entrance at this location from the right-of-way to within the property boundary. The Preserve will remain open to the public for the duration of the project however, this entrance will be closed for public access. Visitors are asked to utilize the alternative pedestrian entrance located behind Fire Station 8 on Cortez Boulevard. An announcement will be made when the Ridge Manor Boulevard entrance will reopen for public access.
