Scheduled railroad repairs require temporary road closures/detours in various areas
(Brooksville, FL) CSX Transportation Division will be performing upcoming maintenance and repair work on railroad crossings in multiple areas of Hernando County on/around the following dates:

  • CR 485 / Cobb Road (Near Cement Plant Road and Yontz Road)
    • Closing on/around 1/11/21
  • Manecke Road (Between Pecan Lane and East Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • East Avenue (Between Manecke Road and Hall Drive)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • W. Fort Dade Avenue (Between N. Mildred Avenue and Gary Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • Lamar Ave / S. Lemon Ave (Between S. Main Street and S. Bailey Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • Daniel Avenue (Between S. Main Street and S. Lemon Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • S. Main Street (Between Russell Street and Cook Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • E. MLK Jr Boulevard (Between Josephine Street and S. Main Street)
    • Closing on/around 1/12/21
  • Powell Road (Between Saturn Road and Racers Way)
    • Closing on/around 1/18/21
  • Crum Road (Near Success Road and Toad Hollow Lane)
    • Closing on/around 1/18/21
  • Rivard Boulevard (Off of Broad Street - One way in/out residential and golf course)
    • Closing on/around 1/19/21
  • Wilson Boulevard (Between Benes Road and McKinley Avenue)
    • Closing on/around 1/20/21
 
Each scheduled maintenance date will require road closures and/or detours in these areas as motorists will not be able to cross the tracks. Each crossing will be closed for two to five days, depending on the maintenance work that needs to be performed. Signage will be in place with detour routes for each crossing.
 
Please note that any/all dates mentioned above are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.
