Hernando County Continuity of Care Council and ATA College Launch Nursing Persistence Program with Funds from 2nd Annual Senior Prom
Hernando County, FL — The Hernando County Continuity of Care Council (H4C) is proud to announce the co-establishment of the ATA College – Spring Hill Nursing Persistence Program, created to provide support for nursing students who need assistance due to life circumstances that may arise during their program, so they will continue and complete their studies.
This new program, developed in partnership with ATA College, Spring Hill, will be funded through proceeds from H4C’s 2nd Annual Senior Prom Fundraiser, taking place on October 22, 2025. The Senior Prom is a free and unforgettable evening designed to honor the county’s older adults while also investing in the future of healthcare in the community.
The Nursing Persistence Program directly addresses the financial and personal challenges that can prevent students from completing their education. By helping students cross the finish line, the program strengthens the local healthcare workforce pipeline and ensures more qualified nurses are available to serve Hernando County.
“This is a milestone moment for our council and our community,” said Christina Blum, President of H4C. “The Nursing Persistence Program represents our commitment to celebrating our seniors while supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals who will care for them and countless others.”
