Infrastructure Improvements Coming to the Hernando Beach Area
(Brooksville, FL) – The Hernando County Department of Public Works, in partnership with the Hernando County Utilities Department, will begin construction on the Calienta Street, Flamingo Boulevard, Petit Lane, and Shoal Line Boulevard Stormwater Project the week of November 17, 2025.
This joint effort project will improve area drainage, utility infrastructure, and roadway safety. The project also includes the realignment of Flamingo Boulevard to Shoal Line Boulevard and the removal of Petit Lane. Construction is expected to last approximately 10 months. During this time, motorists should expect periodic delays, but roads will remain open to thru traffic throughout the duration of the project.
