Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services Hosts Resource Fairs for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

(Brooksville, FL) – Hernando County Housing and Supportive Services is hosting two events during Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week 2025. The goal of these resource fairs is to connect Hernando County residents experiencing homelessness with vital services, raise awareness about available programs, foster community engagement, and provide a central, accessible location for individuals to learn, ask questions, and build relationships with local service providers.

Each event will feature a wide range of services and resources, including:
  • Essentials and Practical Needs: Hot meals, drinks, and hygiene supplies
  • Health and Wellness: Free health screenings, dental and mental health, and substance abuse resources
  • Pathways to Stability: Registration for employment, housing and veteran services
  • Community and Dignity: Information stations and giveaways/prizes
