Hernando County, Florida Office of Economic Development Welcomes Industry Veteran, John Walsh to the Team
(Brooksville, FL) - John Walsh has been an economic development professional for more than 30 years in the Tampa Bay Region. His industry expertise and area insight instill confidence in business leaders considering relocation and expansion options.
As Economic Development Manager, Walsh will focus on attracting target industries while supporting the expansion and retention of existing businesses.

Helping businesses at all levels to plan, launch, operate, and analyze their success has been a career theme for Walsh. Notably, he served as Vice President of neighboring Pasco County’s Economic Development Council where he successfully launched small business development programs that continue to thrive. His contributions were further highlighted through his appointment to the Pasco County Development Review Committee, where he played a key role in land use and development agreements.
Hernando County happens to be where Walsh began work in economic development. And, after many years, he is delighted to reconnect with local business leaders, some of whom he first met early in their business journeys.

In his personal time, Walsh enjoys following professional sports in Tampa and spending quality time with his large extended family, many of whom reside in the Tampa Bay region.
