Hernando County Board of County Commissioners Announces Change to Land Use Public Hearing Schedule

(Brooksville, FL) – The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is announcing an important change to its meeting schedule for Land Use public hearings. With the exception of April’s Land Use Hearing taking place on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 9am, all Land Use public hearings will now take place at 9am on the first Tuesday of each month. The Board will be sitting in its quasi-judicial capacity during these meetings.

Previously, the BOCC held Land Use public hearings during its regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. With this change, the Board will now reserve the first Tuesday specifically for Land Use hearings. The regular Board of County Commissioner meetings will continue as scheduled on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 9am.

New Schedule:

  • Land Use Public Hearings: First Tuesday of each month at 9am
  • Regular Board of County Commissioner Meetings: Second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 9am

All meetings will be held in the John Law Ayers Room located on the first floor of the Government Center at 20 North Main Street, Brooksville.
