Florida SBDC Network State Director Reappointed as SelectFlorida Board Chair
Florida SBDC Network State Office (Pensacola, Fla.) – The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, the state’s principal provider of business assistance, is pleased to announce that Greg Britton, state director, has been reappointed chairman of the SelectFlorida board of directors.
Britton, who joined the Board in 2023, will serve a second term as chair. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the aviation, medical, oil and gas, and high‑tech commercial manufacturing industries. Since 2021, Britton has served as state director of the Florida SBDC Network, leading a statewide organization of more than 225 consultants and staff members across nine regions. In this role, he provides strategic vision and oversight to advance Florida’s principal business assistance organization serving small and medium‑sized businesses.
Prior to joining the Florida SBDC Network, Britton served as chief operations officer of DEFENSEWERX. He previously served as a member of the University of West Florida Board of Trustees and the State Advisory Board of the Florida SBDC Network.

SelectFlorida was founded in 2023 following the signing of House Bill 5 as the state of Florida’s official international commerce organization and Direct Support Organization to FloridaCommerce. Its mission is to increase wages for Floridians, promote Florida as a premier business destination, and connect companies with state and local resources.
