CITY OF BROOKSVILLE PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING MID-FLORIDA COMMUNITY SERVICES IS NOW YOU THRIVE FLORID

Brooksville, Florida (May 8, 2024) – At the May 6, 2024, City Council Meeting, the City Council recognized the name change of Mid Florida Community Services, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation operating in Hernando County since 1986, to You Thrive Florida. You Thrive Florida belongs to a network of community action agencies nationwide created because of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to mitigate poverty.  The mission of You Thrive Florida envisions a future where communities are working together to solve local challenges; where all individuals and families are empowered and equipped with the tools and resources to improve their overall quality of life, well-being, and opportunities to thrive. You Thrive Florida offers a collection of programs and services designed to serve the low-income population in eight counties throughout Florida. You Thrive promotes and fosters community wide solutions to challenges arising throughout the community.  The proclamation was accepted by Mat S. Kline, CEO of You Thrive Florida. Mr. Kline also addressed the City Council and expressed the organization’s commitment to continued service to the City Brooksville.
