Brooksville Matters Celebrates National Travel &
Tourism Week with Florida’s Adventure Coast
BROOKSVILLE, FL — Brooksville Main Street and the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce the May edition of Brooksville Matters, taking place on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM at The Bistro, 10 S. Main Street.
In honor of National Travel & Tourism Week, this month’s session features guest speaker Tammy Heon, Manager of Tourism Development for the Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau. Tammy will lead an engaging discussion titled, "Tourism: The Heartbeat of Our Local Economy," exploring how the travel industry acts as a vital engine for Hernando County’s growth and sustainability.
Tourism is more than just a visit; it is an investment in our small businesses and the preservation of our historic charm. We are thrilled to have Tammy share her expertise on how visitors contribute to the vibrant lifestyle we enjoy every day and how we can continue to showcase Brooksville & Hernando County as a premier destination.
Highlights of the May Session:
- The Power of Travel: Discover how tourism dollars directly impact our local economy and infrastructure.
- National Recognition: Celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week by learning about the latest trends in Florida travel and eco-tourism.
- Collaborative Success: Learn how local businesses can better align with the Visitors Bureau to attract new customers.
