Subject: Arts Council Opens Applications for the Community Arts Grants Program
The Hernando County Fine Arts Council (HCFAC) is happy to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Community Arts Grants program. Hernando County-based organizations with recognized nonprofit or charitable status are encouraged to apply for funding to support their upcoming community art projects. This grant program aims to empower nonprofits to involve county residents in creating, appreciating, supporting, participating in, or learning about the creative arts in Hernando County by providing them with financial support to fuel their artistic endeavors.
The Community Arts Grants program provides an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to complete artistic projects and initiatives that benefit the local community. Nonprofits interested in projects like public art installations (murals, sculptures, etc.), art-focused events or performances, or art instruction are encouraged to apply.
Cheryl Hill, Chair of the Hernando County Fine Arts Council’s Community Arts Grants program, stated, “The Arts Council realizes the significant contribution local nonprofit organizations make toward promoting the arts and cultural development within our county. Through this program, our aim is to assist nonprofits in realizing their artistic goals and to facilitate impactful art-related experiences in Hernando County.”
The application process for the Community Arts Grants is now open. Interested nonprofits should visit the HCFAC website at www.hernandoarts.org/cag to access the online application form. The deadline for submissions is October 6, 2025.
