Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Mr. Benda graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. in 2006 with a degree in business and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida in 2014, where he received certificates in Environmental Law and Business Law.
Mr. Benda began his legal career in St. Augustine, Florida with a private environmental law firm representing public interest groups and private clients. Thereafter, Mr. Benda moved to Gainesville where he represented clients in family law, real estate, land use and zoning, and property disputes, and various other civil litigation. Mr. Benda then began practicing for a law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida practicing family law as well and land use issues. Before opening Benda Law in 2024, Mr. Benda served as an Assistant County Attorney for Hernando County since 2019.
