Material Handler | Forklift Operator (1st Shift)

As a Material Handler and Forklift Operator, you will be a vital part of our client's fast-growing manufacturing operation, ensuring the continuous flow of materials from inbound shipping to the production line and finished goods to the outbound shipping line. You’ll work in a dynamic warehouse environment where dependability and a solid safety history are paramount to success. Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day role focuses on ensuring material availability and efficient product movement throughout the facility.

• Materials Management: Move products around the plant, managing inbound and outbound shipping and receiving activities.

• Production Support: Deliver materials to the production line and move finished inventory to designated locations or the shipping line.

• Packaging & Quality: Perform high-quality packaging, including pallet wrapping, labeling products, and shipping materials to meet customer requirements.

• Operational Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to guidelines for safety, quality, and efficiency in all tasks.

• Administrative & Reporting: Prepare work status reports and serve as a backup for the shipping team on order processing.

• Performance: Consistently achieve daily performance metrics.

Skills:

• Safety & Dependability: Solid safety history and proven dependability in a manufacturing setting.

• Forklift Proficiency: Expertise in operating various forklifts (stand up, sit down, boom lifts), particularly in tight environments.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to quality packaging, labeling, and inventory placement.

• Efficiency: Strong ability to maintain a high pace and achieve daily performance goals.

• Teamwork: Capability to work closely with the Warehouse Manager and shipping team.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
 

Experience:

1-4 years (Warehouse/distribution or other manufacturing experience preferred)
 

Qualifications:

What you'll need to succeed and make an immediate impact:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution or manufacturing role.

• Must be Forklift Certified.

• Physical ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., stacking products on pallets, pulling and packing).

• Basic computer skills and capability to use shipping software.

• Ability to work required overtime, including Saturday shifts.
