TheBus -DBE Goal Consultation

The Hernando County Transit Division (TheBus) is proposing to establish a 1% three-year goal for Fiscal Years 2021-2023 for DBE participation in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funded projects. Information on the methodology utilized to develop the DBE goal is available for review and can be requested via mail or email. If you have any comments or would like to attend a DBE goal setting consultation, please stop by at the Hernando County Planning and Zoning Department at 20 N. Main Street, Room 262, Brooksville, FL 34601 on Friday, March 27, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that the proposed DBE goal is established only for the Transit Division’s Federally Funded Projects. Potential DBE Procurement Opportunities for Fiscal Years 2021– 2023: •Installation of graphics on new vehicles. •Engineering firm to produce designs for bus stop locations to include concrete boarding pads and shelter/bench pads according to ADA minimum requirements. •General contractor to improve bus stop locations based on the engineering design. •Operator to conduct daily operations for the transit system. •General contractor to purchase and install transit amenities at designated bus stop locations
