– The Hernando County Public Library System is throwing a Summer Reading Program Kickoff Celebration with fun for the whole family! The Kickoff Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the West Hernando Branch Library, located at 6335 Blackbird Avenue, Brooksville, Florida 34613 (near Weeki Wachee).
Pick up your reading logs and participate in games, crafts, stories, face painting, LEGOS, and more! This will be the first chance for families to pick up their Reading with the Rays reading logs. The Hernando County Public Libraries will be offering free programs all summer that revolve around the theme “Every Hero has a Story”. Summer programs will include super heroes, villains, and comic book themes. There will also be plenty of summer programs for adults planned around the theme of “Escape the Ordinary”.
