Life South Hernando Kids Marathon and 5K

The LifeSouth Community Foundation and LifeSouth Community Blood Centers invite you to be a part of the 8th Annual LifeSouth Community Foundation Kids Marathon Hernando and the 5th annual 5K Hernando presented by Oak Hill Hospital.

The Kids Marathon and 5K are scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Target at Suncoast Crossing (3101 Aerial Way, Brooksville, FL 34604). The 5K will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the Kids Marathon will begin at 9:15 a.m. Kids Marathon To participate in the Kids Marathon, kids in kindergarten through eighth grade complete 25 miles one at a time. Each mile can be recorded on the log sheet during the months prior to the marathon. To finish the full marathon, kids will run the last 1.2 miles on April 25, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. All participants will receive a Kids Marathon Hernando race packet, race number (must be worn on race day), and t-shirt at packet pick-up.

Participants who finish the 1.2 miles on Saturday, April 25 will receive a finishers medal. Kids must register in order to participate. Kids Marathon participants may also register for the 5K. Only one parent or guardian will be permitted to accompany each participant for the Kids Marathon. Parents should not register to run. No adults will receive a Kids Marathon medal or Kids Marathon t-shirt. Other family members and friends are encouraged to attend and cheer on the participants during the run. 5K All participants will receive a race packet, race number (must be worn on race day), and t-shirt at packet pick-up.

Participants who complete the 5K on Saturday, April 25 will receive a finishers medal. Overall finishers and age group awards for the 5K will be given out at approximately 9:45 a.m. following the Kids Marathon.
