Hernando County celebrates County Government Month
(Hernando County, FL) Since 1991, counties across the nation have celebrated April’s National County Government Month to raise awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of county government. This year’s theme is Counties Moving America Forward: The Keys are Transportation and Infrastructure.
Learn from Hernando County elected officials how county government resources are the core building blocks for a healthy, vibrant and safe community by attending one of the following open house events:
Thursday, April 23
Hernando County Government Center
20 North Main Street, Brooksville
8:30 a.m.―2 p.m. (includes tour of City Hall)
Friday, April 24
Hernando County Health Department
7551 Forest Oaks Boulevard, Spring Hill
8:30―11 a.m.
Both days include presentations and department displays with information on county programs and services. Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited, reservations are recommended. Hernando County also offers a year-round Speakers Bureau. Through the Speakers Bureau, staff members share their knowledge and expertise on the many facets of county government to audiences throughout the county.
