Hernando Audubon Society trip to Lake Townsen Preserve

Meet at the first parking lot (near the restrooms) in the park. Jim King, retired land manager for Hernando County’s Environmentally Sensitive Lands, will give introductory remarks about this 374-acre property. Then we will be watching for birds as Jim leads us on a 1.5 mile walk to a restoration area and to two wetlands on a loop trail through sandhill.
