The Hernando County Democratic Party invites community members, local leaders, and businesses to a Community Town Hall: Democratic Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with a social and meet the candidates followed by a moderated candidate forum at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake House, 1202 Kenlake Ave, Spring Hill, FL 34606. The public will have the opportunity to meet and learn more about local Democratic candidates, voice ideas and present your opinions on topics of interest to Hernando County. Participating Democratic candidates are: Dana Cottrell, U.S. Congress District 11, Michael Cottrell, State Senate District 10, Dr. Paul Reinhardt, State House District 34, Colleen Kasperek, State House District 35, Debbie Salvesen, County Commissioner District 2 and Nancy Makar, County Commissioner District 4. A member of the Florida Democratic Party (FDP) will highlight the impact and importance of voting in the November 2018 election and ways you can join the ‘Get Out The Vote’ campaign. Community organizations will also be present to provide information and resources on local services. The time is now to ‘Stand Up – Be Heard!’ Be there at the Community Town Hall: Democratic Candidates Forum, and let your voice be heard on the issues that matter and discuss ways we can work together to improve our community. This is a free event open to the public and all are welcome. It will also be livestreamed on Facebook.
