What child wouldn’t love to climb aboard a fire truck, a concrete mixer, a grader, or a Mobile Video Inspection Unit? This 2nd Annual Touch a Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, and delivery in a safe environment while accompanying personnel teach them about the equipment and how these machines help our community. Children of all ages can climb, touch, explore, and learn about their favorite vehicles during this free event! There will also be face painting, story times, LEGO building challenges, truck-related crafts, food vendors, and the first 200 kids will receive construction hats from The United Way of Hernando County!
Come out to the East Hernando Branch Library and Touch a Truck on Saturday, October 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This event is free and no registration is required. Guests are encouraged to bring a new or gently used children’s book to donate to the Friends of the Library of Hernando County. The East Hernando Branch Library is located at 6457 Windmere Road, Brooksville, Florida 34602.
