Drought conditions temporarily close local boat ramps
(Brooksville, FL) The Hernando County Waterways Department announces that starting Thursday, April 19, 2017, public boat ramps at Mountain Lake and Hunters Lake will be temporarily closed to motorized boats due to low water levels that have resulted from the ongoing drought. Access is still available for kayaks and canoes at Hunters Lake; however, Mountain Lake boat ramp is closed to all use.

Other public boat ramps are being evaluated and closures will be announced as required.
