United Way's 3rd Born Learning Trail Grand Opening and Community BBQ!
Promoting Early Childhood Learning and Family Fun at Veterans Park
United Way of Hernando County is pleased to announce the Grand Opening for Hernando’s 3rd Born Learning Trail on Tuesday, December 12th beginning at 12:00 PM at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Residents and their children are encouraged to join United Way for an official Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting and Community BBQ in celebration of the Trail’s installment.

When: Tuesday, December 12th from 12:00pm-2:00pm
Where: Veterans Memorial Park- 12254 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL

The 3rd Born Learning Trail was recently installed by the Leadership Hernando Class of 2017 at Veteran’s Memorial Park and also features a Little Free Library, where young children are encouraged to take-a-book or leave-a-book. The 10 trail signs are designed to attract families so parents, caregivers, and grandparents can engage with their younger children by reading the tips listed on each sign, playing hopscotch, enjoying the alphabet circle, and telling interactive stories together. The quality of a young child’s environment and social experience has a decisive, long-lasting impact on their ability to learn, and the Born Learning Trails have proven to make it easy and fun.
