Participants: Our goal is to have participants from each of the schools in Hernando County as well as community members. Each exhibitor will have an activity for children and many will be holding exhibitions in the courtyard throughout the day.
Theme and Purpose: Disability Awareness Walk and Roll is a 4 hour event and will provide participants with inclusive activities designed to promote disability awareness for families, schools, and communities. All funds raised will be used to sponsor summer camp opportunities for Hernando County students with disabilities as well as providing Positive Behavior Support funding to the schools with the most event participants.
Information for sponsors/ exhibitors who would like to reserve a display table:
- Non-profit organizations may display for no charge (with 501c3), for others the fee is $20
- Exhibit set-up will be on Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. 6 foot table will be provided with 2 folding chairs
- Exhibit area will be open from 8:30 a.m. – Noon for participants.
- Sponsors will receive special recognition during the opening session and throughout the morning by our Master of Ceremonies.
- Sponsors are invited to donate items to be used for door prizes throughout the morning.
- The Disability Awareness Walk and Roll committee reserves the right to determine the location of all exhibits. Tables will be assigned on a first come first served basis. You are encouraged to respond to this announcement as soon as possible to reserve your table(s).
