TheBus DBE Consultation

The Hernando County Transit division (TheBus) is proposing to establish a 1% three-year goal for Fiscal Years 2024-2026 for DBE participation in Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funded projects. Information on the methodology utilized to develop the DBE goal is available for review and can be requested via mail or email. If you have any comments or would like to attend a DBE goal setting consultation , please stop by at the Department of Public of Works. Please keep in mind that the proposed DBE goal is established only for Transit Division's Federally Funded Projects. Potential DBE Procurement Opportunities for Fiscal Years 2024-2026: *Installation of graphics on the new vehicles, *Engineering firm to produce designs for bus stop locations to include concrete boarding pads and shelter/bench pads according to ADA minimum requirements, *General contractor to improve bus stop locations based on the engineering design, * Operator to conduct daily operations for transit system, *General contractor to purchase and install transit amenities at designated bus stop locations.
